Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 28, 2026
1. Introduction
RunCalc is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data RunCalc accesses, how it is used, and what we will never do with it.
2. Data We Collect
RunCalc reads HealthKit workout data, including workouts and GPS routes, on your device to provide its core features. RunCalc stores saved routes, route analysis, and goals in its local app database. If you are signed in to iCloud, Apple's CloudKit service may sync that app database through your private iCloud account so it is available on your other devices. Anonymous analytics events are stored locally on-device only in a ring-buffer log.
3. Data We Don't Collect
We do not operate an advertising profile, sell personal or health data, or share it with data brokers or advertising networks. We do not receive your HealthKit database, payment-card information, or on-device analytics log.
4. HealthKit
RunCalc reads workouts and routes solely to provide app features and does not upload your HealthKit database to a RunCalc-operated server. Saved routes and related analysis derived from workouts may be included in the private iCloud sync described below. RunCalc never writes to HealthKit.
5. Analytics
Anonymous analytics events (such as paywall views and subscription events) are stored in a ring-buffer log on your device only. They are never transmitted to any external service.
6. iCloud Sync
RunCalc uses Apple CloudKit to sync saved routes, GPS route coordinates, goals, and related app records through your private iCloud account. Apple operates this service under its own privacy terms. RunCalc does not use iCloud data for advertising and does not gate sync behind a RunCalc Pro subscription. Sync may be unavailable when you are signed out of iCloud or have disabled iCloud access for RunCalc.
7. Subscriptions
Subscription transactions are handled entirely by Apple's StoreKit framework. RunCalc does not process or store any payment information.
8. Service Providers
RunCalc contains no third-party advertising, tracking, or analytics SDKs. Apple provides HealthKit, iCloud/CloudKit, and StoreKit as operating-system services used by the app.
9. Children
RunCalc is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
