Answers to the most common questions about RunCalc.
How do I grant HealthKit access?
Open iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → RunCalc, and enable all permissions.
Why aren't my workouts showing?
Make sure HealthKit permissions are granted (see above). The app fetches recent workouts first; older workouts load in the background.
How does route matching work?
RunCalc uses GPS data from your workouts to compare against saved routes using a similarity algorithm. Workouts that closely match a route are automatically linked.
What is RunCalc Pro?
RunCalc Pro unlocks the full workout history, all interactive charts, route management, goal tracking, smart suggestions, and athlete stats. A 3-day free trial is included.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions → RunCalc. You can cancel or manage your subscription there.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your workout history and stats remain in Apple Health — RunCalc never stores that data. Your saved routes and goals are preserved in the app; they just become read-only on the free tier.
Is my HealthKit data sent anywhere?
RunCalc reads your HealthKit database on-device and does not upload it to a RunCalc-operated server. If you use iCloud, saved routes, GPS route coordinates, goals, and related app records may sync privately through Apple CloudKit.
Can I use RunCalc offline?
Yes. RunCalc reads from HealthKit and keeps its app database locally. Changes made offline sync through iCloud after a connection becomes available.
